Choosing the Right Hardware

Time to choose your shiny new gadgets but with so many options on the market it’s important to pick the right one(s) to get the best results possible from Spectre.

The first important thing to note is, Spectre is only (currently) available on IOS/Apple devices. This is due to the fact that the camera quality is consistently high and thus the results will be consistent

Recommended devices:

• Ipad Mini 5th generation or above 
• Ipad Air 4 or better

The reason we recommend these is due to the fact that they have a large enough screen to clearly see what you are doing in both an inside (warehouse) environment or outside (orchard) environment. They also have high quality cameras for the best fruit detection possible. 

Other acceptable devices

• Ipad Pro (2021 or newer)
• Iphone 12 Pro Max
• Iphone 13 (all models)
• Iphone 14 (all models) 

The above devices will work absolutely fine but you may get slightly different results when comparing to another ios device due to the cameras having slightly different focal lengths and lenses.
