Configure notifications and thresholds

If you want to receive notifications based on how your teams are performing out in the field you will first need to setup your quality/ productivity thresholds and notifications. This is done via the settings view.

This article will show you how to

  • Set picking specification thresholds
  • Set notification details

Set Picking Specifications

Picking specifications define the thresholds that when crossed will trigger a notification. They can be based on defect rate, color grade, size bands and productivity / speed.

Step 1: Add a specification

  • Select Picking specs from the Settings view
  • Scroll to bottom and select + Add picking specification

Step 2: Set variety and pick number

  • Click on Choose varieties
  • Pick the varieties you wish to set the thresholds for
  • Click save

  • Click on Choose pick numbers
  • Select the pick numbers you are setting the threshold for
  • Click save

Step 3: Set defect thresholds

A notification will be sent when a bin gets logged with a defect rate above the threshold set

  • Click on the Defects line
  • Click on the defect categories in which you want to set thresholds for
  • Select the defect rate threshold
  • Click Save

Step 4: Set color thresholds

If you wish to utilise the color scan functionality in Hectre Perform each variety will need color grades set up. If this hasn’t been done you will need to create your color shades and grades before you can setup the thresholds.

  • Click Color

  • Click Minimum color grade
  • Select the minimum color grade acceptable

Step 5: Set size thresholds

All three settings here need to be applied for this threshold to work. A size band range will be defined by selecting a minimum and maximum and a expected percentage of fruit that fall in this range this range.

If the percentage of actual fruit that fall within the set range is not met the thresholds will be breached and a notification sent.

  • Click on Minimum Size
  • Select the minimum size band requirement and click save
  • Click on Maximum size
  • Select the minimum size band requirement and click save
  • Click on Good size %
  • Select the expected percentage of fruit sampled that fall between the minimum and maximum size requirements and click save

Note

If your size bands have not been set up you will need to contact our team at support@hectre.com

Step 6: Set picker speed threshold

Setting picker speed thresholds allows you to define a minimum number of bins you expect to be picked for either the morning and/ or the entire day. Failure to meet this requirement results in a notification being sent.

  • Click Picker speed from the Setup picking spec view
  • Toggle whether you want a morning speed and/ or a full day speed requirement.
  • Select the Minimum bin target button for either Morning and/ or Full day
  • Set the minimum amount of bins to be picked by either the end of the morning and/ or the full day.
  • Click Save
  • Click Notification time for either Morning and/ or Full day
  • Set the time that defines the end of the Morning and/ or the Full day
  • Click Save.

Setup notifications

Hectre Perform allows you to configure the notifications you receive along with the frequency you receive the notifications.

Step 1: Confirm the notifications

  • From the Settings view select Notifications
  • Select Pause all if you want to turn off all notifications
  • Toggle on or off each individual specification notification if you want to receive notifications for certain specifications.

Step 2: Set the Notification Frequency

This is the frequency with which you will receive notifications. If you wish to receive notifications regularly, set a lower frequency time i.e. 5 minutes.

  • From the Notifications view select Frequency
  • Select the duration you want between notifications
  • Click Save
