Logging Totes in Bins with Perform
This guide outlines the steps for a picking supervisor to create bins and log fruit totes using the Perform module within the Hectre mobile app. This process ensures accurate monitoring of fruit picking speed and quality in your orchard.
Getting Started
- Open the Hectre app on your mobile device.
- From the left-hand menu, select the Perform module.
- Ensure Bins is selected in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Creating Your First Bin
- At the top of the screen, select the Picking Supervisor from the drop-down menu (e.g., Jose).
- Today's date is automatically selected in the top right, all bins created for the day are organized chronologically.
When you find an empty bin in the orchard ready for logging, tap the plus button on the bottom right to Create a bin.
For the very first bin of the day, you will need to set the following details:
- Orchard
- Pick number
Bin size
Note: For subsequent bins created on the same day, these details will automatically copy from the previous bin. You can still modify them using the edit functions if needed.
Logging Totes into a Bin
Once your bin is created, you're ready to log the fruit totes.
- When a picker (e.g., Maria) has filled a tote, the supervisor will tap the Scanner picker button on the bottom right of the screen.
- The picker will then hold their wristband near the mobile device to be scanned.
- If the wristband is not yet assigned:
- Select the picker's name from the list (e.g., Maria).
- The wristband will be assigned to them, and one tote will be added to the bin under their name.
- If the wristband is already assigned:
- The system will automatically log one tote to the bin under that picker's name (e.g., Carlos).
You can monitor the progress of totes filling a bin by observing the "totes loaded" count (e.g., "2 out of 48 totes"). Continue adding totes to the current bin, and create new bins as needed throughout the day, by following these steps.
