Printing Bin Tickets

Hooray, the bin is full! Time to print the bin ticket.

This article covers how you can print bin tickets from the picking module and how to connect your device to the printer if need be. Check out the video below or read on to find out more.

Print Ticket and Create New Bin

After creating a bin in the picking module and assigning a location and pickers to that bin, there is a good chance you'll want to print the ticket for that bin and move directly on to doing the same for the next bin. The easiest way to print a bin ticket, commit the details of the bin to the database, and start on a new one is by selecting the Print & Create new bin button.

Selecting Print & Create new bin will submit the bin information to the database, print the bin ticket for the selected bin, and create a new bin in the Bin View on the left-hand side.

You will only have the option to print and create a new bin if a bin ticket has not yet been printed for a particular bin. If this is the case, a red printer icon will be displayed in the top right corner of the bin information box on the left side of the screen.

If a ticket has been printed for a particular bin there will not be a red printer icon and the button that previously said Print & Create new bin will now display Show next unprinted bin.

Print Bin Ticket

Say a previously printed bin ticket has been torn or lost somehow and you wish to re-print that bin ticket again. Or potentially, you have filled the final bin of the day and need to print a ticket without creating a new bin (as is the case when selecting Print & Create new bin).

Simply select the bin you wish to print the ticket for and then select Print at the top right of the screen. If the bin has not previously had a ticket printed, selecting Print will also submit this bin to the database.

Create a Bluetooth Connection From the Device to the Printer

Before printing a bin ticket, you will need to ensure that your device has a Bluetooth connection to the printer.

Follow these steps to set up a Bluetooth connection to the printer:

  1. Enable Bluetooth discovery on the printer.
  2. Select either Settings/Bluetooth on iPhone/iPad or Settings/Connections/Bluetooth on Android and wait for the printer to become available.
  3. Select the printer to create the Bluetooth connection.
