Add Spray Settings

Learn how to set up your spray details to be used on your different spray plans. These details include your:

Operators - existing staff who will be your spray operators
Sprayers - the equipment (tanks) details that will be used for spray
Chemicals - a list of chemicals and their details

IMPORTANT NOTE

For your spray plan to yield precise spray calculations, it's essential to ensure that each of your sub-blocks has its correct size details. This step is a prerequisite for the effectiveness of the spray plan.

Getting Started

Before you create a spray plan, let’s create details of what will be used on your spray plans

Operators - details of existing staff who will be your spray operators
Sprayers - the equipment (tanks) details that will be used for spray
Chemicals - a list of chemicals and their details

To access your settings

Click on the Spray module from the left-side bar (1)
Click Go to spray settings (2)

Operators

This section guides you on how to designate a staff member as a spray operator.You can assign this role using one of two methods detailed below, followed by the steps to add an operator to the system.

Via Admin Panel: Navigate to the Admin section, then to Staff. Select a staff member to edit their details. You will now find a “Add/Edit spray operator details” button at the bottom-left side of the screen

Via Spray Settings: Go to Spray Settings and select Operators to assign.

Click on the Operators tab and click the “Add new Operator” button. You can also Edit operator details or Delete a operator from the list.

Add an Operator:

License Information: Start by entering the operator's License ID and License Expiry Date. Note that both fields are optional, allowing flexibility based on your operational requirements.
Default Sprayer Assignment: If you have any sprayers pre-configured within your system, you can assign a default sprayer to the new operator. This step is also optional, offering the ability to customize equipment allocation as needed.

Add operator: To complete the process, click on Add operator. This action will register the staff member as a spray operator.

Edit/Delete Operator: You can edit the operator details or delete a spray operator. Deleting a spray operator does not deactivate the staff account. It just removes their spray information.

Search Operator: You can search an operator by their name or License ID.

Sprayers

This section guides you on creating, modifying, or removing sprayer (tank) configurations within your system.

Click on the Sprayers tab and Click “Add new Sprayer” button. You can also Edit sprayers details or Delete a sprayer from the list.

Edit/Delete Sprayer: You can edit the sprayer details or delete a sprayer.

Search Sprayer: You can search a sprayer by name or ID.

Add a Sprayer:

Sprayer Name and ID: Input a name for the sprayer and an ID for easier identification. The ID field is optional.
Tank Capacity: Specify the tank's capacity, selecting the appropriate unit of measurement for your needs—either litres (L) or gallons (gal).
Operator Assignment: Assign a specific operator to use this sprayer. This step is optional.

To complete the process, click on Add Sprayer. This action will register the sprayer details.

Chemicals

This section guides you on creating, modifying, or removing chemicals.

Click on the Chemicals tab and click the “Add new Chemical” button. You can also Edit chemical details or Delete a chemical from the list.

Edit/Delete Chemical: You can edit the chemical details or delete a chemical.

Search Chemical: You can search a chemical by name product name, product type or active ingredient.

Add a Chemical:

Product Type: Choose from the available product types.
Active Ingredient: Add a list of active ingredients in the product.
Product Name: Enter the name of the chemical.
EPA Number: Enter the unique EPA number for the chemical. This is an optional field.
Re-entry Interval: Enter the re-entry interval as specified in the product label. This is represented by hrs
Pre-harvest Interval: Enter the pre-harvest interval as specified in the product label. This is represented in days. This is an optional field.

To complete the process, click on the Add Chemical button. This action will add a new chemical to the list.
