Resetting Trees

How to Reset Thinned / Pruned Trees

In this article we show you how to reset your trees in the Hectre app so that you can allocate pruning and thinning work to be done. You’ll usually want to reset your trees when it’s time to carry out new pruning or thinning tasks.

*It’s good to note, that resetting your trees does not affect any other part of the app or your data (e.g. payroll). All it does is change the status of the trees, so that they can be allocated for pruning/ thinning work.

Video below followed by instructions

NOTE
Rows with orange dots mean some of the trees in that row have previously been allocated for thinning/pruning. Rows with green dots mean all of the trees in that row have been previously allocated. Rows with no dots haven’t been previously allocated.

Step 1 - Once logged in, click on the gear icon. This will take you to the Orchard Management menu.

Step 2 - You’ll now see the four block menu. Click on the bottom block “Reset pruned/thinned trees”

* The reset trees option has a Manager/Owner permission level. So if you are trying to do this task, and can’t, please refer to your Manager/Owner.

Step 3 – Now select what level you wish to reset. You can reset

  • (a) All of the trees in the entire orchard by selecting at orchard level
  • (b) All the trees in one or more blocks by selecting blocks
  • (c) All of the trees in a row, by clicking on the row (you can click on multiple rows too)
  • (d) Then click on the “Reset Trees” button

*Rows with orange dots mean some of the trees in that row have previously been allocated for thinning/pruning. Rows with green dots mean all of the trees in that row have been previously allocated. Rows with no dots haven’t been previously allocated.

Step 4 – The final step is to confirm your selection.

In this example, we are resetting the full block MO33 and will click both the “Clear pruned trees” and “Clear thinned trees” which will reset the block so we can reallocate as we wish to.

*If you’ve entered the wrong options, simply click “Cancel” and start again.

Step 5 – We can now see that no orange or green dots are showing on the rows, which means all of the trees in Block MO33 have been reset and are now ready for new pruning and thinning job allocations. Congrats! You’re all sorted!
