Add a Spray Plan
After adding your spray operators, sprayers, and chemicals, you're then ready to begin creating spray plans.
Learn how to create a spray plan. Edit, copy, and delete a plan. Mark a plan as complete. View re-entry and earliest harvest dates for your different areas.

Add a New Spray Plan
To Access the Spray Module
- Login to the Hectre dashboard
- Click on the Spray icon (1)
- Click on Create your first spray plan (2)
On this page you can enter all the details of what's being sprayed, when, where, and by who. The plan creation is broken into 7 steps.
At any point you can:
- exit and discard the spray plan (1)
- save and close the spray plan (2)
Step 1
On the first step, be sure to select the correct unit of measurement to be used on your plan.
The 2 options available are:
Imperial (acres, gallons, pounds etc)
Metric (hectares, litres, grams etc)
- Click Next to move onto the next step.
NOTE: Not all details are mandatory. You can save your spray plan and edit it again later
Step 2
- Enter your application rate (1)
- Application Rate = this is the quantity of water the sprayer will use
- Add your chemicals and enter the label rate and select the correct unit of measurement (2)
- Label Rate = the quantity of product
Step 3
- Select the locations of spray
NOTE: For the spray calculations to be correct, your orchard settings in Hectre should have the correct area size per sub block.

- Select varieties

Assign spray operators.
NOTE: You can assign one operator to all areas per variety, or select a specific operator per area of each variety (see next step)

- To assign multiple operators to the spray plan, click Edit Blocks
Step 5.2
- Then remove or assign new operators to each block as needed.
- Click Close to return to the main assign operators page

- Assign a sprayer to each operator

Review your spray details
Calculations for the spray plan are made based on what was entered for the application rate, label rate, tank size, and orchard area size.
If you need to add more information to the plan, use the notes section to save any further details
Step 8
- Click print if you're ready to hand instructions to your spray operators
- Click Save and Close to save the plan and head back to the spray home page
Step 9
View spray plans and update status
Your new plan will automatically be saved as a draft. To update the status and mark as "Planned" or "Complete":
- Click the 3 dots next to a spray plan to open a menu of options
- Click Change Status
- Update the plan status
NOTE: From this page you can also edit the spray plan, print, delete, and create a copy of the plan.
View Re-Entry and Earliest Harvest Dates
From the Spray Module home page;
- Click View Locations Impacted by Spray
- Use the location filter to search by area
OR
- Use the search bar to type in a block /orchard /variety name
NOTE
Earliest re-entry date and earliest harvest date are calculated based on date of spray on the spray plan you've created and marked as complete, and the chemical product settings defined re-entry period and harvest restriction.
